Leonard “Mfundisi-Ligwena Oats” Ncube

“I was born in Bulawayo, grew up in Gwanda some 128 km from the City of Kings, I did both my primary and high school education there.”

Leonard confirms that from childhood he liked working with the public. He was once a leader of a musical group ministering through music which culminated to him being a minister of the Word for quite a long time now.

“By the grace of the Lord I excelled at the auditions at KFM in 2018, you can imagine the excitement mixed with anxiety as we were told we’d be the pioneers of Khulumani fm” he laughs out loud as he does on air.

Mfundisi-Ligwena Oats as he is affectionately known by his fans is married with two beautiful children. He is working on enrolling with a local university next year.

“I like helping the community spiritually and in any other way, I just like seeing happy people.”

Leonard would like to be remembered for being a happy person, who does everything with passion and loves working with people.

Favorite music

“Not specific because of my fans, who have become family, what they love is what I enjoy. Local music takes me to another level though” he says with a smile and lil laugh that is contagious.
