Post cabinet briefing 19 October

Zimbabwe’s re-engagement efforts are now paying-off after the country’s invitation to attend the 26th COP meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.
In a post-cabinet media briefing this Tuesday, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Senator Monica Mutsvangwa highlighted that Zimbabwe’s invitation to attend the conference of the parties (cop 26) is a major breakthrough in the country’s reengagement efforts.
Cabinet also resolved to maintain the level 2 lockdown.
Proposals to address water, sanitation and hygiene issues were also discussed in this tuesday’s cabinet.
The second republic continues to record progress in projects being undertaken by various ministries.
Some of the pertinent issues discussed in cabinet include the report back on the global business forum africa expo 2020 dubai which was attended by vice president general retired dr constantino chiwenga, proposed amendments to align the environmental management act to the constitution and the rehabilitation of river ecosystems degraded by riverbed mining activities.
