COVID-19 taskforce meets POLAD

The ad hoc Ministerial taskforce on Covid-19 held an interface with members of Political Actors Dialogue-POLAD to brief them on various measures and programmes being undertaken by government to fight the pandemic.

True to the African proverb, which goes: ‘if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together,’ President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government has employed a multi-stakeholder approach in the covid-19 response strategy.

It is against this background that the taskforce which is chaired by the Minister of Defence and War veterans Affairs, Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri met POLAD  members at state house in Harare this Thursday to brief them on programmes being implemented by the government to mitigate the impact of the pandemic.

POLAD co- convener, Mrs Margarate Sangarwe also attended the interface.
