Infrastructure development projects present an opportunity …E.D

President Emmerson Mnangagwa says current infrastructure development projects present an opportunity for players in the construction sector to increase investment and enhance their competitiveness to meet global standards.

At a time, some local companies are struggling to stay afloat due to various reasons, some have remained competitive for so many years.

A case in point is French construction company, Saint Gobain, which has been operating in the country for the past 61 years.

The company’s efforts have not gone unnoticed with President Emmerson Mnangagwa taking his time to appreciate the firm’s confidence in Zimbabwe.

For President Mnangagwa, local industries need to take a leaf from this construction company in terms of adherence to business ethics, and continuous efforts to enhance competitiveness particularly at a time the African continental free trade area has been operationalised.

Cde Mnangagwa also appreciated the strategic alliances that the company has entered into with local tertiary institutions.
