Binga roads a nightmare

The poor state of the major road linking Binga district with other provinces has come under the spotlight, with traditional leaders adding their voices.

The road is the all-important outlet linking Binga with Midlands and Mashonaland West provinces.

The local community has called for urgent intervention before the onset of the rains.

A section of the road which is also an important trade route was last year destroyed by floods which almost swept away a bridge in the Nsungwale area.

With the area prone to floods, locals are living in constant fear ahead of a season predicted to receive normal to above normal rainfall.
