Plumtree extends investment invite to diaspora

The people of Plumtree have extended an investment invitation to the diaspora community, saying the border town offers many opportunities for those wishing to start businesses.

 The absence of manufacturing industries in Plumtree town is affecting the performance of small to medium enterprises in the border town.

 The Covid-19 pandemic has worsened the situation, with many small to medium enterprises and cross border traders who were relying on Botswana for their wares not able to travel.

 Salt is a commodity which comes through the Plumtree border and residents suggest that the setting up of a packaging plant would create many opportunities for locals.
