High rise buildings in vision 2030

Government says it is embarking on a vertical housing development system to mitigate housing challenges in line with vision 2030.

Speaking in Bulawayo this Wednesday, the Minister of Housing and Social amenities, honourable Daniel Garwe said in a bid to reduce the housing backlog, government has resolved to construct high rise buildings in line with international trends and vision 2030.

The Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities, Yeukai Simbanegavi added that her ministry is dedicated to the fulfillment of President Mnangagwa’s vision 2030.

Minister Garwe also pointed out that due to the setbacks which have been caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the target of 470 000 housing units within the next decade has been revised to  200 000.
