SDG 7 in Hwange
Government says the Hwange Thermal Power station project which will inject an additional 600 megawatts to the national grid is evidence of commitment to invest in energy infrastructure and improve power supply.
While touring the Hwange Thermal Power station, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Monitoring Implementation of government programmes, Dr Jorum Gumbo emphasized government’s commitment to ensuring that national project deadlines are met.
Dr Gumbo said government will make sure that the 100-day cycle programme will become a conduit not only for promoting development, but guaranteeing job creation and empowerment of communities.
ZESA board chairperson, Dr Sydney Gata said the power utility appreciates government’s commitment and is also working to ensure load shedding is a thing of the past.
