No one will die of hunger : VP Mohadi
Vice President Kembo Mohadi has assured the nation that no one will die of hunger as government is distributing and working of procuring more grain for distribution countrywide.
As drought continues to affect the breath and length of the country, government is burning the midnight oil procuring grain to feed the nation.
Addressing mourners at the burial of his nephew, Admire Mbedzi in Mtetengwe, Beitbridge this Saturday, vice President Mohadi said procurement of food in a top government priority, adding that food has already been secured from Mexico and Tanzania.
The Vice President also spoke about the current drought-induced economic challenges and the need to contain inflation through managing money supply growth.
Comforting the Mbedzi family which laid to rest another member on Christmas eve, Cde Mohadi said they must accept the passing on of Mbedzi who succumbed to a heart condition.
Admire Mbedzi died on the 14th of January at Mawabeni near Esigodini as he was coming from Bulawayo where he had gone for medical examinations.
He is survived by wife, Fatima and three sons.
