No one will die of hunger : Minister Moyo

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring food security and promoting programmes aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change.

 Speaking during a Matabeleland North Provincial 2019/2020 tillage programme launch at Redwood resettlement in Umguza district this Wednesday, Minister of State for Matabeleland North province, Honourable Richard Moyo, said no one will die as a result of the current drought.

 A total of 42 tractors, 15 pulling disc harrows and 27 pulling ploughs will be availed for the tillage programme.

 Representatives of some of the 15 660 households set to benefit from the initiative expressed optimism that the programme will transform their lives.
