Gvt promises food to Mat south communities

The government has promised to provide food to communities in Matabeleland South province through the public works programme where members of the community are involved in the development of infrastructure.

The District Development Fund, DDF which is one of the partners implementing the programme has partnered villagers in Ngoma area of Gwanda district in repairing and drilling boreholes as well as construction of roads to facilitate the movement of food. 

DDF provincial coordinator Mr Moment Malandu says households that participate in the public works programme will receive a fifty kilogramme bag of maize and 160 dollars.  

A total of 1 280 people will benefit from the DDF’s public works programme in Mat South Province.
