Manyuchi to face Argentine Diego Diaz

Zimbabwe’s top boxer Charles Manyuchi has set his sights on the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Middleweight title when he faces Diego Diaz Gallardo of Argentina in Harare next week.

Charles Manyuchi is set to return to the ring against Argentine Diego Diaz Gallardo at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on the 28^th of September gunning for nothing except the WBF Middleweight title.

Manyuchi who is one of the most celebrated boxers in the country, has had to move a notch up to the middleweight division because of weight.The fight could be one of the last three fights that the 29-year-old will contest as his glittering boxing career is coming to an end.

There are a total of 9 international bouts lined up on the night featuring a number of boxers from the Charles Manyuchi Sports Academy, including the highly rated Brendan “Boica” Denis who is fighting for a WBF title.

Manyuchi, a former World Boxing Council -WBC silver welterweight champion until his unexpected defeat in Singapore in 2017 to Uzibeskitan’s Quadratillo Abduquxarov, is trying to restore some lost pride.
