Clinic project gets a boost in rural Beitbridge
A clinic project for the Dumba community in Beitbridge East has received a major boost after a local national assembly member donated 100 bags of cement towards the project.
Speaking at the handover ceremony of the cement, Beitbridge east legislator Cde Albert Ngulube said he was supporting the community initiative to build a clinic in an effort to bring health services closer to the people. The clinic will also house a waiting mothers’ shelter for use by expecting mothers.
Vice chairman of the clinic committee Mr Kossam Mbedzi said they are happy to receive support for their community project and assured Cde Ngulube that brick molding will start soon.
The clinic site has been cleared and expectations are that a borehole will be drilled soon for the provision of water.
