Dr Nkomo legacy lives on

The Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo 20th anniversary commemorations have been held at Bulawayo’s White City Stadium this Monday, the 1st of July, the exact date on which father Zimbabwe passed on in 1999.

His house in Pelandaba will forever be known as “konkomo.” by being a home to the great nationalist, it will be in the memories of many.

To the family, Father Zimbabwe was no longer a Nkomo, he was the nation’s adored figure.

At the memorial event, historian and journalist Saul Gwakuba Ndlovu recalled a father Zimbabwe who was economically astute.

The minister of state for bulawayo metropolitan province cde judith ncube said umdala wethu’s legacy will forever be cherished as a living cornerstone on unity and progress.
