Makokoba revamp welcome

The proposed Makokoba redevelopment plan has excited residents of Bulawayo’s oldest residential area who believe that it will transform their lives.

In a recent Bulawayo devolution conference, the Minister of Local Government, Public works and National Housing Cde July Moyo underscored the need for planning authorities to identify and build multi-storey structures.

“Infrastructural development must start now, the nation cannot afford to further postpone the plan to revamp old townships”, says Minister Moyo.

Delighted residents say they cannot wait any longer for the massive project to kick off as the settlement is an eyesore to many.
