Different political party representatives turned out for the launch of the book of condolences of the late national hero Dr Dumiso Dabengwa at the family home in Fourwinds, Bulawayo.
The official launch of the signing of the book of condolences transformed into an emotionally charged atmosphere as many took to the podium and spoke glowingly on how the gentle giant Dr Dabengwa impacted on the lives of many.
Zanu pf National Spokeperson Ambassador Simon Khaya-Moyo described the late national hero as a man, who never hated anybody.
Dabengwa wanted to permanently do away with Matebeleland water woes through his initiated Zambezi- Matebeleland water project, said Bulawayo City Council Mayor Cllr Solomon Mguni.
The ZAPU chairperson Mr Isaac Mabuka called for calmness and urged those who will attend his memorial on Friday at white city stadium to embrace each other regardless of political affiliation, tribe and social standing.
