Dabengwa to be buried in Ntabazinduna
Thousands of people from all walks of life thronged the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo international airport in Bulawayo today to welcome the body of the late national hero Cde Dumiso Dabengwa.
The late liberation icon died in Kenya last Thursday en-route from India where he had gone for treatment. He has since been declared a national hero and is set to be laid to rest in Ntabazinduna on Saturday after government said it will not stand in the way of the wishes of the late and his family in terms of where he will be buried.
The late ZIPRA commander is survived by his wife Zodwa Khumalo-Dabengwa, five children and five grand children. Mourners are gathered at house number 39 diamond drive in Fourwinds Bulawayo.
