Dr S Ngwenya speaks about ambiguous genitalia live on air

Mpilo hospital in Bulawayo has launched an initiative known as Restoration to Normalcy: Ambiguous Genitalia, to address, through surgery, conditions of individuals born with both genitals.

 Mpilo central hospital clinical director Dr Solwayo Ngwenya says the condition of children born with both male and female organs is very complex and sensitive within society. According to medical research Dr Ngwenya says most people with such conditions usually die either of depression or medical implications arising out of carrying both organs within one body.
