BCC has proposed a 42 percent adjustment of all tariffs
The Bulawayo City Council has proposed a 42 percent adjustment of all tariffs arguing that the cost of service provision has gone up since the last budget in 2018.
This came out in a council finance committee supplementary budget consultation meeting.
Councillor Silas Chigora said if council does no adjust tariffs the city will not be able to operate and give quality services.
The council also proposed that new income generation methods should be explored to enable the local authority to fulfill its obligations.
