Government warns illegal settlers
Government has warned illegal settlers and those selling state land to desist from doing so as land settlement is governed by law.
Addressing villagers in Katanya, Shamva district, Minister of lands, agriculture, water, climate and rural resettlement Retired Chief Air Marshal Perrence Shiri said the law will soon catch up with those who illegally occupy or sell state land.
In light of government’s farm inputs subsidy programmes, Minister Shiri implored farmers to exercise discipline to ensure that funding models continue to be self-sustaining.
Government has also embarked on a mechanisation scheme for A1 small scale farmers and communal farmers in an effort to ensure increased agricultural productivity.
