Bulawayo consumers optimistic

Consumers in Bulawayo have called on government to ring-fence prices of basic commodities following the continuous rise in prices of goods even those that are produced locally.

Prices of commodities like mealie meal, cooking oil, soap, rice and lotion continue to rise even after the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe have called on the prices to go down.
Despite a notable improvement on the transport situation consumers in Bulawayo said the government should take control of prices especially basic commodities.

Ordinary citizens, however, remain optimistic that responsible authorities will intervene in time for the situation to return to normalcy.
