No going back on CAF licensing

ZIFA technical director Wilson Mutekede says there will be no going back in the enforcement of CAF club licensing regulations which require topflight coaches to be in possession of a CAF A coaching certificate in order to coach a PSL team. ZIFA technical director on Friday returned home from a CAF seminar held in Egypt.
Upon his return Mutekede said while ZIFA’s stance of enforcing CAF club licensing requirements is being taken personally yet enforcement minimum standards is in line with trends across the continent.
The local football governing body’s stance of a CAF A coaching certificate as a prerequisite for topflight coaches was first enforced last year.
The ZIFA board again met recently and declared that a CAF A certificate will remain mandatory for topflight coaches.
