Wheat delivered

About 80 thousand tonnes of wheat have been delivered by farmers at the Grain Marketing Board so far in a positive development which is expected to ease wheat shortages in the country.
The farmers could have delivered more if the shortage of combine harvesters which has become a perennial problem is resolved.
Efforts to secure 50 brand new combine harvesters which are expected to cushion wheat harvesting challenges are at an advanced stage reveals Nyabadza.
This year the country is expecting between 150 000 and 200 thousand tonnes of the cereal crop against national requirement of 400 thousand tonnes per annum .
