Veteran Cde Dennis Mabhena buried

Hundreds of mourners gathered at Gwanda provincial heroes acre to bid farewell to another veteran of the liberation struggle Cde Dennis Mabhena, who died after experiencing heart failure on Wednesday last week. He was 67.
In their tribute, the ZANU pf political leadership expressed deep sadness at the passing on of Cde Mabhena saying he was an example of a principled and hardworking leader.
While Cde Mabhena and other fallen heroes played their part in liberating the country from the colonial bondage, the challenge is for the current generation to contribute towards economic prosperity of Zimbabwe.
Family members paid tribute to the government for according Mabhena with liberation heroes status saying he deserves the honour.
Cde Mabhena is survived by wife Sithabile and three children.
