Residents complain over darkness

Residents in Emganwini suburb have raised concern over the non- availability of tower lights especially in Emasotsheni area.

There are only two tower lights in the whole residential area making it difficult for residents to navigate at night and this has led to an increase in criminal areas in the area.

Residents interviewed by Khulumani FM highlighted that the city fathers have done nothing for the past ten years to solve the tower light problem in the area. Roselyn Dube a resident in EMasotsheni area said criminals have taken advantage of the situation and as residents they are living in fear every day.

Some residents highlighted that the city fathers do not have the people’s interest at heart as they failed to address the lighting issue in the area even when the economic situation in the country was stable.
