Public urged to shun panic buying buying

Government through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has called on Zimbabweans to shun panic buying of fuel and basic commodities as there are sufficient supplies of these commodities to meet demand.
Zimbabwe witnessed panic buying and hoarding of basic commodities over the weekend due to speculation over anticiapted price increases,
Government has assured the nation that basic commodities and other essentials like fuel will be available to cater for normal demand by customers.
Giving the assurance the Minister of Industry and Commerce Cde Nqobizitha Ndlovu said it is also imperative for the people not to hoard and engage in panic buying as this creates artificial shortages that are inflationary.
A survey by our news crew this Sunday afternoon showed that most basic commodities were available in supermarkets and retail outlets.
