Lumumba challenges African governments

Kenyan Professor of Law Patrick Lumumba has challenged African governments to do more in the enforcement of anti-corruption laws and has implored accounting professionals to shun being used to sanitize unethical business practices.
Professor Lumumba who was among the keynote speakers during the recently held 2018 Chartered Accountants Winter School in Victoria Falls said it is worrying that professionals like accountants as well as lawyers continue to be used to sanitize corruption.
The African Capacity Building Foundation ACBF  estimates that the African continent could be losing around 50 billion dollars annually through corruption.
