Zim Handball Federation pleading for assistance

The Zimbabwe Handball Federation is pleading for assistance with finances to pay for its equipment held by revenue authorities which was donated by its international federation for developmental purposes.
The 320 handball balls manufactured at a value of $2000 are meant for developmental programmes right round the country after they were donated by the International Handball Federation IHF  but remain withheld by revenue authorities who are requesting a duty fee of about $1200.

Zimbabwe Handball Federation President, Stewart Sanhewe, revealed that his organisation has written to the Sport and Recreation Commission requesting for a duty exemption but nothing has materialised to date. To worsen the situation $10 is being charged daily for storage.
